Our Pastoral Team

In our Baptism God calls every Christian to share in the ministry of his Church.
The Risen Christ equips each one of us  to serve his world, through the gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit.
There are many forms of service and varieties of gifts: the one Lord invites all of us to take our part
in building up the Body of Christ and to witness to the Gospel in our lives.
The Pastoral Team fulfils part of the vision God has given Saint Peter's Church: to extend pastoral care
and reach out healing hands to those in need, in compassion and support.

*****************************

Part of the team will take the Blessed Sacrament out to the housebound, the sick
and those living in nursing or rest homes in the parish.

Part will support parents seeking Baptism for their child.

Another part of the team will offer the bereaved support after
the funerals have taken place.

Yet another part of the team will assist in general visiting.

Our team was commissioned by the congregation on Mothering Sunday 2013, with these words

We, the people of Saint Peter's, recognize your call and joyfully commission you as
members of the Pastoral Team to visit in this parish as representatives of this Church,
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
