Where are we?  
  

The Parish of East Blatchington forms the northern and western parts of Seaford, on the Sussex coast.It is on the A259, about halfway between Brighton and Eastbourne.
Saint Peter's Parish Church and our church hall - The Chapel Rooms - are at the junction of Blatchington Hill and Belgrave Road.

Transport:

Rail

Seaford railway station is at the end of a branch line, with trains from Brighton via Lewes and Newhaven every half hour. From London, Victoria, East Croydon & Gatwick catch Eastbourne or Ore trains and change at Lewes.
Most railway services in this area are operated by Southern Railway.

Bus

Brighton and Hove Buses routes 12 & 12a between Brighton & Eastbourne stop on Claremont Road, near the end of Belgrave Road, outside the British Legion Club. They run daily with a 10 -20 minute frequency during working hours and half-hourly in the evening. The journey from Brighton takes about 50 minutes, with Eastbourne about 25 minutes away.
The White Lion Hotel is on the corner of Belgrave Road. The church is about ten minutes walk along Belgrave Road.

The Seaford town bus service, route 119, supported by East Sussex County Council and operated by Compass Buses, runs a circular route from Morrison's supermarket, via the railway station and the Belgrave Road and Beacon Road stops on Claremont Road.
The stop before the Church is the Kingsmead Walk stop in Kingsmead and the one after is at the Firle Road stop in Upper Belgrave Road. Both are roughly the same distance from the Church. This route runs half-hourly during shopping hours from Monday to Friday and hourly on Saturdays. Unfortunately it does not run on Sundays.
Please note that the return journey takes up to 20 minutes to complete the circular route, although there is an interchange point at Sutton Corner, on the A259, with route 12.

There are taxi ranks outside Seaford railway station and Morrison's supermarket (during shopping hours).

By your own transport

The post code is BN25 2HE. The Rectory is at 86 Belgrave Road and the Chapel Rooms and Church are immediately after that.
Approaching from the west on the A259, turn off at The White Lion Hotel, into Belgrave Road. Please note that the stretch beside the hotel is one-way, east-bound. Coming back from the Church you need to take a left at Kedale Road & then right along Grosvenor Road.
Approaching the centre of Seaford from the east on the A259, turn right at the war memorial, down Avondale Road, this becomes Blatchington Hill, after the pond. The Church is on the left as you reach the top of the hill. Turn left at the mini roundabout. There is on-street parking and limited parking in the Chapel Rooms car park, with precedence given to people with mobility problems.
