Access for all
Although an early medieval church, Saint Peter's has level access throughout the nave. There are single steps at the entrance to the chancel and sanctuary. The Holy Sacrament can be administered in their pew or wheelchair to anyone who would find the chancel step a barrier. There are no toilets in the church, but there are in the church hall, as can be seen below.
Large print hymn books are available and the weekly service and news sheet is also available in large print. Please see the sidepersons who will be pleased to supply them.
The Chapel Rooms, our church hall, has level access throughout the ground floor, where the vast majority of activities take place.
There are toilets with easy access, including a toilet suitable for wheelchair users, and baby changing facilities in the Chapel Rooms.
There are steps down from the churchyard to the Chapel Rooms car park, but level access is available via the Belgrave Road entrances to the churchyard and hall car park.
Both church and hall have loop systems installed for the benefit of people with suitable hearing aids. The church system operates during the 8am & 9.30am Sunday services and services at major festivals. The hall's system is available for lectures and other events.
Parking is available both in Belgrave Road and the church hall car park.
